For many small business owners, “digital marketing” is an intimidating term. Our goal was to uncover the positive and negative influences that encourage consumers to choose one local business over another. What we found was fairly eye-opening: in today’s on-the-go, mobile-first world, the link between digital and physical is much more intertwined than we had originally imagined.

So to bring these insights to life, we hosted a three-part webcast series featuring discussions with digital marketing experts from Google, Yahoo, Bing, Verve, and YP Marketing Solutions.

We discussed the need to build a strong online presence, the impact of search engine marketing and location-based mobile advertising for local businesses, and the key drivers that stop consumers in their tracks, moving them along the journey from “consideration” to “purchase.”
