YP Ranked Among Top Mobile Search Companies
As consumer eyeballs increasingly shift toward mobile devices, so do advertising dollars. That’s why YP has continued to stay committed to creating and evolving digital marketing experiences that reach local consumers, including our new suite of mobile offerings. More than half of YP’s digital traffic in 2014 came directly from mobile devices – helping solidify YP’s position as an industry leader in mobile advertising.
In a recent report from research firm IDC (International Data Corporation), YP was ranked among the top five companies in mobile search revenue in the U.S. With a market share of 7.2%, YP was next in line following expected industry heavy-hitters: Google, Microsoft, Twitter, and Yahoo.
“YP has maintained its leadership role in the industry and is well-positioned to continue that role in the future,” said Karsten Weide, Program Vice President, Digital Media and Entertainment at IDC.
“This is an increasingly important and competitive landscape, and we’re extremely proud of our position with some of the biggest names in mobile and search,” said David Lebow, Chief Revenue Officer at YP.
